The first is about a little girl, Nona, who comes to live with her English cousins after being raised in India. She's lonely and sad until she receives two Japanese dolls as a gift. She enlists the help of her cousing Tom to build a proper Japanese house for the dolls, there are even plans at the end of the book to build your own. In her efforts to make the dolls feel welcome, Nona becomes part of the family as well. The second book deals more with her cousin Belinda. They really are charming books with quite a bit of description of Japanese customs.Donnahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11879927963858160523noreply@blogger.com
