We spent last sunday at Solarfest- a great family festival in Tinmouth Vermont at Forget-Me-Not farm. I highly recommend this event as a way to better familarize yourself with alternative energies......truly the way of the future.

SolarFest is a nonprofit organization with 501(c)(3) status. Its mission is to educate people about renewable energy by engaging the community through the performing arts. Since its inception in 1995, SolarFest has built a reputation for promoting artistic excellence and community-building, and has raised more than a few eyebrows when people realize that our entire weekend festival is run on renewable energy, primarily solar with wind and bio-diesel in the mix.

Zoe had a great time also. There was a great childrens story teller/folk singer their called John Porcino - I highly recommend him, he kept the attention of children of all ages with his stories and songs.

Another great idea simple as can be which was provided by the Vermont Soap company was a table with a mound of squishy soap on in many different colours which people stopped by and moulded and sculpted...Zoe spent an hour and 15 minutes at that table quietly playing.
